Think about it and I know you’ll agree that Bill’s statement is true. Charities have used tv and film to make sure that we know the problems. They also show us how we can make the lives of the people who need help better. It may not be just money either. For example, charities donations can be tinned foods or warm clothes for bitterly cold nights, or spectacles to help people see. You can even make a charity car donation to be used or sold by the charity. Things we don’t have a use for any more but are still too good to throw away. This way we can make a difference easily and feel that we are helping in a way that doesn’t mean we have to give money.
If you like to give money, do you give charity donations regularly or just when you see a disaster has happened on the news? If you donate money to charity regularly, I expect you have already decided on the area that is most important to you, such as homelessness or Aids. Forgive yourself to grow
If you are on a path of purposeful personal growth, you will have to learn how to forgive yourself to see progress.
Now, before you start balking at the idea, let me give you an example.
Remember when you learned to ride a bicycle? I'm pretty sure you didn't just hop on and ride away into the sunset. Instead, you fell off, probably several times until you learned how to balance and push the pedals at the same time. It seems to be more of a given when learning a new skill that we're not going to get it right the first time. We know we will make mistakes. So, why are we so much more willing to forgive our mistakes in learning new skills like bike riding, than in learning a new skill in creating and living a happy life?
Most of us are much harder on ourselves than we are on others, and we tend to hold grudges with ourselves for much longer, as well. But how are you supposed to learn if you don’t allow yourself the room to make mistakes along the way? If you forgive yourself for not being perfect from the start, for not getting it right the first time, you allow yourself to try again and make progress. If you don’t forgive yourself the mistakes you make along the way, you stunt your growth and remain stuck where you are.
Everyone makes mistakes. We’re human. It happens. Holding yourself and your growth hostage by not forgiving yourself your mistakes serves no useful purpose. You certainly don’t benefit, and neither does anyone else. So if you want growth, learn to forgive yourself.

Suspension trauma death is caused by orthostatic incompetence; it can occur any time a person is required to stand quietly for prolonged periods and may be worsened by heat and dehydration. It is most commonly encountered in military parades where soldiers must stand at attention for prolonged periods. Supervisors can prevent it by training soldiers to keep their knees slightly bent and not locked.
How orthostatic incompetence occurs is that the legs are immobile with a worker in an upright posture. Gravity pulls blood into the lower legs, which have a very large storage capacity. Enough blood eventually accumulates so that return blood flow to the right chamber of the heart is reduced. The heart can only pump the blood available, so the heart’s output begins to fall. The heart speeds up to maintain sufficient blood flow to the brain, but if the blood supply to the heart is restricted enough, beating faster is ineffective, and the body abruptly slows the heart.
In most instances this solves the problem by causing the worker to faint.
After fainting and slumping, blood can now be returned to the heart and the person typically recovers quickly. In a harness, however, the person can’t fall into a horizontal posture, so the reduced heart rate causes the brain’s blood supply to fall below the critical level.
Orthostatic incompetence doesn’t occur often because it requires that the legs remain relaxed, straight, and below heart level. If the leg muscles are contracting in order to maintain balance and support the body, the muscles press against the leg veins allowing for normal blood flow. In suspension trauma, several unfortunate things occur that aggravate the problem. First, the worker is suspended in an upright posture with legs dangling. Second, the safety harness straps exert pressure on leg veins, compressing them and reducing blood flow back to the heart. Third, the harness keeps the worker in an upright position, regardless of loss of consciousness, which is what kills workers.

According to the accounts of historian Herodotus, King Leonidas and 300 Spartan warriors together with other non-Spartan volunteers, succumbed to a hail of Persian arrows but only after inflicting a heavy toll on Xerxes' minions over three days of bloody fighting.
However, the sharpshooter really came into his own during advent of modern warfare. The Second World War gave Russian sharpshooter Ivan Sidorenko the chance to make shooting history by registering 500 confirmed kills. As a separate entity among the infantry during the World War II, the sniper was able to establish his worth as a strategic asset and psychological weapon. Instead of volume of fire and overwhelming force, the sniper utilized stealth, high ground and terrain, and superior aim to cause dread and panic that is enough to halt an entire platoon or battalion on its tracks.
The steady, highly calculated aim is the hallmark of a true sniper. With nerves of steel, a sniper can place a pinpoint shot on a still or moving target by considering the wind direction, bullet deflection, target distance, and a host of other factors that impact on whether a kill is made or not. But behind the history, mystique and battle accounts that would mesmerize the uninitiated, lies another story.

Not being an oyster eater myself I will have to take their word for it.

The festival also attracts many international filmmakers as well as their famous leading men and women. Halogen lights and how to use them
Halogen lights and bulbs are types of the incandescent light technology. These lights and bulbs function by letting electricity pass through a filament or thin wire of tungsten enclosed by a tube of glass filled with halogen gas. The halogen gas serves as the catalyst for chemical reaction. The reaction causes the tungsten to be removed from the glass wall and deposited back to the filament. This is the cause of the bulbs' long life. Though an offshoot of the incandescent technology, the filaments in halogen lights and bulbs must have higher temperature than those used in incandescent lights for the reaction to happen. This results in a brighter and whiter light.
However, the brighter light of halogen lights and bulbs causes the tungsten to evaporate faster, hence, the need for an expensive gas to stagger the evaporation. The gas of choice used is krypton gas. Together with a high pressure, these two effectively stagger and lower the evaporation rate of tungsten in halogen lights. This process also requires a thicker and smaller bulb which translates into higher temperature. A temperature of 300 degrees Celsius is not uncommon for halogen bulbs. This is the reason why halogen lights got the reputation of being fire hazards. But there is no need to worry about fires due to these lights if they are used and installed properly.
